Lot of courting on the campus. 12 Edith B. coming to college to gain weight. 13 Freshmen will have to get used to quiet hour on Sunday. Oma E. is still homesick. 14 Violet T.j This food, I ' ll never get used to it. 15 Freshmen dread Physical Ed. Es- tella still wants to go home. 16 B. Conley and Johnson going steady ■ — with Herbert S. on the side. 17 Couples getting thick on the cam- pus. The weather is a little chilly. 18 Say! Estella, whose ring are you wearing — Oh, yes, whose ring is Haster wearing ? 19 Wonder why Earleen steps out. Could R. T. Johnson be the answer? 21 Earleen is happy today because she is going home. Estella has the blues. 22 Geraldene F. sure looks happy to- day going around with a Captain from the army. Say, who is h e, anyway ? 23 Psychology getting the Freshmen down — some of the Sophomores can ' t take it either. 24 Fire drills for Derriana girls. Sure got them excited — air raid also. Mrs. Brown had wrong key to the lock. 25 The Hutcheson boys seem to be popular this year with the Derriana girls. What you say, Virginia and Bobbie Jean? 26 Georgia Lee and Ruby on the war path — Mrs. Brown told them to clean their own room. 27 H. Salisbury sure took a laughing spell while talking with Estella and Geraldene F. 28 Girls look happy. Show night, could that be the reason why ? OCTOBER 1 Conley and B. Johnson not on speaking terms. Virginia and Betty with Fletcher. 8 Founder ' s Day — Freshmen couldn ' t understood why they couldn ' t be first in line at cafe. 9 The chemistry class seems to be worried, What ' s wrong, Mr. Day? 12 Dickey plays ukulele in Chapel with a big hit.
