T H E R E C O R D Page Nineteen ' Q s ,kiwi I W. , 'Hg .' ff L- mg, .. .- C-sl.-EL'-1f'-1 ieo1,v'vm September, 1922, saw sixty-five Fresh- men enter P.. C. A., the largest class that had ever entered. Magny of the six- ty-five had played and studied tio-gether through the grades. Three, Helena, Margery, and Henry, began their edu- cational career in Miss Kendrick's room.. At the end of the second year Henry move-d to Frankfont where he continued his studies. Winnie, Maudie, and Perle joined us in the fourth grade, and Alice in the fifth, staying with us one year. There is a tradition, hoary with age, that somewhere in the dim prehistoric times, Dusty and P'oss entered school, but the exact date is nuot known. The class was further increased in the seventh grade by the addition of Queen- ie and Ted.. In the eighth grade, Ilma, Helen, and Frona joined our ranks to be lulled to sleep by the musical read- ing of The Bells, and Poe's Raven The Freshman year saw the begin- nings of great things when Harold, Emmett, and Wyatt hailed from Pond Creek and Alice returned. Nothing un- usual marked our freshman career. We were as dumb as any other freshman class. In spite of this, a good number of us made Sophomore. We loo-st Perle for two years, but Dai-sibel and Mae joined us. We had two permanent additions in our Junior year, Maude Jones and Henry Scott. This year we conducted successfully a good lyceum course and presented two pleasing dramatic pro- ductions, A Corner of the Campus, and Primrose Path. Another impor- tant event this year was the banquet we served the Seniors at the Derrianna. It was prepared by the girls with slight assistance fI'lOfI'I1 the boys. During the summer that followed we lost through matrimony Holly Matney who was with us from the sixlth grade. F Nancy Wolford was here in '22 and '24 in the normal class and returned to become a Senior of '26, Ruth and Elvia, preferring our class to that of '25, de- cided to wait and graduate with us. Our class has been illustrious in many ways. Four of so-ur members have been on the boys' basketball team and two on the girls' team, four girls are mem- bers of the Glee Club, and one boy has been a member of ,the debating team for two years. All in all we feel confident that this is the largest, most learned, handsom- est, most accomplished and most loyal class that has passed or ever will pass through the ol-d Caollege.
