Varsity Football For a small group, the Varsity Football team did a tremendous job, coming in third overall in league standings. They played doggedly against larger teams in pre-games, and then fought with their Pierce spirit in the league games. Mid-season, the mighty Bears had to make up for the loss of their quarterback by using different plays. The Bears lost to the two team teams that went to the playoffs. JV Football The JV football team had lots of courage and enthusiasm, coming in 5th over-all. Being a young team, the Cubs lacked the experiece they needed, but tried their best all year and never gave up. Coach Brumley said, The team always had a chance to win. They were always in the game, but sometimes they just couldn ' t get it together.
