The Piedmont Hills Art Association was re-organized this year. The purpose of the club is to promote interest m art. Members are as follows top row, Mr. Devita, Drew Petitclerc, Bill Dudding, Debbie White, Chris Estrella Mark Hoffman, Verna Wilhite, Shelly Porter, Mr Scharch. Bottom row, Cheri Peters, Sue Loer, Nancy Renard, Cindy Eddington. Not shown, Kathy Dident Gayle Andres. Future Business Leaders of America is made up of students from business classes. Their goal is to promote leadership and to create character. The club is very active in competitional events and raising money from bake sales. The advisors of the FBLOA are Mrs. Brewer, Mrs. Sparling, Mr. Passalacqua, Ms. Kurimoto, and Mrs. Okano.

VUCA IDNAI SIIJIDENIS ronnon EXCHANGE Masao Onji, who is a senior and this year's foreign exchange student likes it here at P.H.l-l.S. So much that he says he does not even miss his homeland of japan. At Piedmont he has become very involved in school activities and is a member of the cross-country and soccer teams and plans to go out for baseball in the spring. Maso's favorite things in America are the good food and public schools which are both quite different from those in Japan. Although he is leaving the United States in July, Masao says he plans to return soon. 1 s as AY The Mexican-America Youth Organization represents the Chicano students at Piedmont Hills High School. The club is lead by President Gina Lopez, Vice-President Lizzy Melendez, Secretary Susan Lara, and Advisor Mr. Garcia. 151
