Howard Young and Alden Casa- nave were selected as Most Valuable Players. The Most Inspirational Player chosen was Bill Peters. JV'S COP TWO TOU RN EYS 11 San Jose Jr. Varsity Basketball Tournament-The Jr. Varsity Basket- ball team played outstandingly to ob- tain the first ever tournament cham- pionship by any basketball team at Piedmont Hills, defeating Mitty in the championship game in O.T. 55-49. 21 Del Mar Jr. Varsity Basketball Tournament-Once again the Jr. Var- sity Basketball team proved that they were the number one Jv. Varsity team in the area by winning their second straight tournament championship, bombing Del Mar High 52-41 in the final championship game. 411
