The staff of 1986 edition of the Yonahian dedicates this publication to Dr. MARY CHARLOTTE LANE. Members of the Piedmont College student body, faculty and staff endorse this dedication to a most admirable woman. As Dean of the College, Dr. Lane is responsible for the administration of many parts of the total school program. In carrying out these duties, she is responsive to the needs of individuals in a caring, concerned, and compassionate manner. Unselfishly she gives of her time, talents, and possessions to promote the welfare of many in the entire community of Habersham, in addition to those in the comunity of Piedmont. Her wit and wisdom, combined with superior academic achievement, enable her to relate most effectively with her students and her collegues. She and her friend: Spooky: delight Chapel attendants in the performance of her role as Assistant Chaplain. The dedication of this publication to Dr. Lane is in appreciation of all that she dedicates to Piedmont College. Her experience as a U.S. Army colonel in the Women ' s Army Corps, College professor, Congregational minister assistant chaplain, radio personality, and Dean of the College make her a very special person. Upon review of this production, the students agreed that Neil Simon lives up to his position as the most brilliant writer of comedies in America. Jointly sponsored by Piedmont College and the Habersham Arts Council, the Atlanta Chamber Players presented a program of class ical music in the Piedmont Chapel on November 13, 1985. Works of Mozart, Kramer and Martin were performed for this Lyceum program. The first Lyceum of the 1985-86 season at Piedmont College featured Brian Huskey, a noted musician, songwriter and comedian.
