Farther over, in this Yonahian, you will see pictures of an unfinished classroom — administra- tion building, being erected at a cost of $500,000.00 Before another Yearbook is in your hands, devoted teachers and eager students will have discovered the greater joys of this build- ing completed, furnished, invested of a never-ceasing delight, an imposing diadem on our campus ' crest. That part of the Piedmont College dream will have come true! Also, in this Yonahian, you will see pictures of our present women ' s dormitory, Babcock Hall. By this time next year, Deo Volente, an addition to Babcock Hall, more than doubling its present facilities, will be receiving the finishing touches, making it ready for our young women, who will be arriving for the 1964-65 academic year. That part of the Piedmont College dream will have come true! Then, a little farther off, but bright and beckoning, like lovely Ariadne, will be other parts of the Piedmont College dream coming true: an addition to our present E. Louise Patten Me- morial Library; another new men ' s dormitory; a chapel; a fine arts — music, art, drama — build- ing; a student union; a new field house and gymnasium; increased faculty salaries; larger en- dowment; swimming pools and tennis courts — in short, a dream coming true of Piedmont College, virile, puissant, matching its strength in Christian experience and academic excellence with the strength of the youth, whose eyes have caught the morning light that streams from the brows of these immemorial mountains. On November 22, 1963, a tragic end came to our then President, who, himself, was a dream- er of dreams for his nation and for the world. In the sorrow of that epochal event, we feel doubly obligated to do our best to achieve. Beauty and friendship and the dream fulfilled. The golden answer to the deeply willed. Yes, unashamedly, we, too, are dreamers of dreams — dreams for Piedmont College that are slowly, but surely, coming true; and, we encourage our youth to dream — fine dreams, vast dreams — for themselves, for their College, and for their world. We invite you to share our dream — the dream that is coming true, by the grace of God and the prayers and generous help of friends, at Piedmont College.
