Formerly there were four literary societies — Gamma Chi and Theta Zeta Phi for women, and Protropian and J.S. Green for men. The men ' s societies last year disbanded for the duration. This year the women ' s societies and several other organizations — Students ' Associa- tion, Association of Women Students ' Council, Y.W.C.A., and Y.M.C.A. — merged into one organi- zation, the Students ' Association of Piedmont College. This arrangement will last only for the duration. 17
