Laugh Lines ?? Bruce W. : I ' m becoming so nearsighted that I bump into people when I walk along the Street. Rod S. : Goodness, man! That ' s dangerous! Why don ' t you buya car and drive it? Marty L. came home from school one day proudly exhibiting a book, which he said he won for accuracy in Bio- logy. However did you do that? asked his mother. The teacher asked how many legs an ostrich had. 1 said three. But an ostrich has only two legs. replied his mother. Well, the rest of the class said four. Mrs. Johnson was asked her age. Well let me figure it out. she replied. 1 was eighteen when I married, and my husband was thirty. He is now sixty, or twice as old as he was then. So 1 am thirty-six. I ' d like to go to the mountains this summer, said Kristin to John, but I ' m afraid that the mountain air wouldn ' t agree with me. My dear, said John, it wouldn ' t dare disagree. Oh yes, said Lori W. proudly, we can trace our ancestors back too--to--well, 1 don ' t know exactly who, but we ' ve been descending for centuries. Duane B. , pulling with one mule: Giddap Peter! Giddap Barney! Giddap Johnny! Giddap Bill! Stranger: How many names does that mule have? Duane: His name ' s Pete, but he don ' t know his own strength; so I put blinders on ' im and yell a lot o ' names, an ' he thinks a lot o ' other mules are helpin ' ' im. Judge, Did you, or did you not strike the policeman? Richard H. : The answer is in the infirmary. Panting and perspiring, two boys on a tandem bicycle at last reached the top of a steep hill. Stiff climb, Debbie, said Wendy C. , breathing heavily. Sure was, Agreed Debbie N. , and if 1 hadn ' t kept that brake on we ' d have gone backward. Reuban K. was too bashful to propose to his girl in person, so he called her on the telephone. Lisa, he began shyly, I got me a little farm out in the country. I got a cow, a dozen chickens, a pig, a mule, an ' a hoss and buggy. Taking a deep breath, he said quickly, what I wants to know--will you marry me? Co ' se I will, honey — and who is this speakin ' ? Greg was running errands for his sister. Among the requirements was a trip to the drugstore. 1 want a box of powder for my sister. he said. Certainly, replied the clerk, and aiming to have a joke, he added, do you want the kind that goes off with a bang? But Greg was equal to the occasion. No, he answered brightly, the kind that goes on with a puff. Sobo: How old were you on your last birthday? Jeff W. : 17, sir. Sobo: How old will you be on your next birthday? Jeff: 19, sir. Sobo: Nonsense, if you were 17 on your last birthday, how can you be 19 on your next birthday? Jeff: I ' m eighteen today. PARTY DOWN !!!!! Gloria: The two things I cook best are meat loaf and peach cobbler. Duane S. Well, which is this?

Class History A class of unrefined freshmen entered the great halls of P .H.S . in 1973. The first thing we had to do was elect a brilliant leader. Larry Batho ran unopposed and won. In September we were brutally initiated by the sophomores. The first event we participated in was the Halloween Car- nival. Our Candidate was Deb Fountain. Didn ' t make it that year. Pam Quinnell, Kim Izzard, and Beth Wise were our Vivacious freshmen Cheerleaders. Moving up a rung on the ladder we entered our sophomore year, getting bigger and better all the time. Commander-in-chief was Rod Slater. Our Halloween Carnival Candidate was Sherry Olmstead. We flopped with tiie ticket sales ana got beat again. Leading the cheers were Kim Izzard, Linda Nayback, Sherry Olmstead, and Pam Quinnell. What we lacked in intellect we made up in pep. In September we dehumanized the class of ' 78 with our savage initiaton. Oh, sweet revenge! ! In September or ' 75 we began the only year we ever did anything prosperous, led by our women ' s libber, Bev Mac Donald. Kathy Belonga was our Carnival Candidate. We Struck Out. Cheerleaders were Kim Izzard, Sherry Olmstead, and Pam Quinnell. During the year we poisened the community with our Ham and Spaghetti Suppers. We sold concessions at football and basketball games, ripping off more than we paid for. We got our class rings--at last we could go steady! In the fall of ' 76 we entered P. H.S. for the last year. As a group of polished seniors we were able to get away with murder. Captain Paul Sims was our fearful leader. We entered the carnival in vain with Jan Miller as our candidate. Our three spirited cheerleaders were Kim Izzard, Bev MacDonald and Pam Quinnell. Our Christmas Card Sales were a debacle, making a record $4.32 profit, but we soothed our mutilated egos with the birthday calenders, and bake sales. We finally got a Queen when Kim Izzard won Homecoming. We composed this annual (annual what?) of sorts, to help us remember our exceptional high school years.
