Ode To ' 77 When we the class of 77 from these hallowed halls have fled, We fear the fun will all be gone and PHS be dead. Who vill fill the hallowed senior seat, those steps out in the hall? Where Kathy, Janet, and Jane once sat, why we can ' t name them all. I ask again you people, when the library tables sit. Unadorned by human form, might they straighten out a bit? No Brenda, Berta, Pam or Al to crush the legs all flat, How will the poor tables ever survive without that ton of fat? How will poor Mac spend all his time when lockers aren ' t kicked in? No Jim or Bob or David here to bend each door of tin. Let ' s worry about the locker rooms. He or She or It, Without Kim or Mike or Tom and Joel, they may survive a bit. The doors may close, the locks all snap, no towels all ripped apart. To reorganize each locker room was a senior work of art. Who will mix up Mrs. Johnson ' s desk until every bit is lost, To do without Beaver and Duane in Home Ec. , imagine what we ' ve lost. Home Ec. isn ' t just for boys you know, it takes a girl to burn a pan, Now who will ruin those utensils, with no Mary Bev Michalski, or Jan. The cheerleader squad will take a drastic loss and go down without a sigh, Who will match the precission of Mac Donald and Quinnell as in a heap they lie? The Stalwart bus will seem funny now without that load of crud, No Dennis, Deb or Billy R. to bring in all the mud. Detention hall will lose its pets, the place will empty get. With Sherry, Jeff, Andy and Alison gone the rest will have room to sit. Our band will lose its nasal tone, the director will get well, Without Percussion Mark, and Windy Paul, the music will start to sell. What will they do at fire alarms, without Richard and Rod to keep doors clean. We fear they will be replaced with a big snow blower machine. Our social life will fizz right out, the place will be like a stone, No Linda, Bill, Bruce or Laura, who will set the tone? The halls will grow dim again so we can ' t see a thing, When Kathy and Tammy leave PHS, each with a sparkling ring. Oh, what a dismal future for dear old PHS, What they will do without the seniors is anybody ' s guess.
