CLUB began its activities by electing Cadet Lieu- tenant Colonel William Miller Presidentg Cadet Captain Marvin Loos, Secretary and Cadet Second Lieutenant Donald Benton, Treasurer. The club strives to provide fellowship and unity among the cadet officers and the non-coms. At their regular meetings they engage in activities that strengthen the military program. During the year they sponsored the Veterans' Day assembly pro- gram for which they secured as guest speaker Colonel Orval Cochrane of the Arizona National Guard. He addressed the stu- dent body on the purpose of setting aside one day a year to commemorate the lives of those who served in wars of the past. On the lighter side of the program was a skit entitled You're in the Army Now, and a Hula-hulai' dance presented by a spe- cial group of R.O.T.C. performers. The members of the group have a sincere interest in the military. They are sponsored by Sergeant First Class Billy L. Stephens. Mr. Wenzel a bit in doubt about the appearance of Cadet lst Lt. Cleveland Fortenberry during his initiation. -115-

Members of this club have many opportunities to take part in activities with similar groups from other high, schools and to feel they are part of the world-wide Y. W. C. A. The girls join this club for the many social activities that foster friendships and develop under- standing based on shared experiences.
