THE STATE FAIR brought many honors to Tech from the entry of protects students had made in the varuous shops CAboveJ One of our booths at the State Fair displayung the protects entered by students iAbove Rightl Marlon McGough and De Alva Owens modeling formals that won first and sec ond prizes iBottom rightl From left to right are Grace Castle Carolina Carlson and Duane l-lastungs wearing clothes that wcn ribbons In the bottom left corner is the Tech Student Council Booth with Mr Fawcett the Science teacher giving a Manual Dexterity test to Joanne Cobb Arizona State College student from Bisbee Arizona Her speed was 33 seconds one of the fastest of any person taking the test Tech students won 72 firsts lTucson was second with 20 fnrstsl and 65 seconds Of a possible l94 places lfursts seconds and thnrdsl Tech won ll8 The money value was S483 The Technician apologizes for failure to get some pic- tures of winning booths and projects that the photographer tried for .- he just flubbed.
