FORWARD 1950 is the beginning of a new era in history. This is known as the Atomic Age which has brought many new problems to be solved. It is through the foresight and planning of our school system that the younger generation is going to be trained, so they will be able to meet with the requirements wrought upon them by the discovery of the power locked in Atomic energy. With the further use and development of Atomic energy we can expand both in our industrial out put and maintain a higher standard of living beyond man's greatest dreams and wishes with the aid ot our scientists of today and tomorrow. lt has become possible now for one man to control enough power to destroy the world. Our schools should try to train our children to realize that one man could rule them, and make them realize they must take an active part in the government, accept the responsibilities, and take an in- terest in all world events and scientific discoveries in order to have a government by the people.
