Before coming to P.C. he was an instruc-

his undergraduate days, Mr. Phelps at-
tended the Case School of Applied Science.
After receiving his B.S. in pharmacy from
the University of Akron, he traveled to the
University of Southern California for his
M.S. and Ph.C. Pharmacy was not the
sole interest of the scholar, and as an extra-
curricular activity he was an enthusiastic
member of the glee club.
Since joining the college faculty, he has
contributed much to the physical and men-

designing the chemistry win g of the Science
building. Mr. Phelps was also the founder
of Phi Alpha Chi, oldest fraternity on
campus and perennial winner of the Junior
Chamber of Commerce trophy for scholar-

which is presented to the women's Greek
letter society attaining the highest grade

The community has also benefitted by
his ability. He is a past chairman of the
Arizona Board of Pharmacy, and Board
of Examiners, and served as secretary of
the Lions Club.
As a testimonial to this accomplished
teacher and in recognition of his work for
the college, we dedicate the 1959 annual,
Sandprints, to Arthur Lee Phelps.
