From varied backgrounds and with different personalities, God is using these servants of His not only to promote the material building pro- gram but also to provide for spiritual growth. Characteristic of this group is their oneness in their love for God and their dedication to the task of seeing the Phoenix Christian High School build for life. oenix Cbvislian iqlw School ssocia ion ASSUCIATIDN DFFIBERS Rav. Your talents, charac- ter, personality, and spiritual vigor have made unforgettable impressions upon us. We shall continue to remember each of you by name in prayer to our God through Iesus Christ, the One who has been glorified in your high school days at Christian High. I trust you will not leave Christian High with the thought that you shall never again be considered a part of the school. You have become a valued member of that ever growing family of maturing adults who have merely left home for awhile. Your return by way of interest, prayers, promotion, financial support, or active participation in the high school organizations now open to you will keep all of us together. I believe our homes, churches, schools, cities, state and nation will be im- proved and many lives will be changed by Christ because of you, our grad- uates of 1954. It is a gripping drama of 33 A.D. depicting the precarious adventures of Daniel, a young scribe of the temple and follower of Christ. In his efforts to remain true to his faith in the Lord Iesus Christ and still escape the vengeance of the Sanhedran, he holds the breathless attention of the audience. Although he has the friendship of Pilate's gentle wife and has converted her niece to Christ, no one in the Roman household can save the man from the fury of Caiaphas, the high priest. In the background lurks the shadow of the crucifixion soon to yield to the bright dawn of the resurrection, against which the figure of the harrassed Pilate, half-mad with remorse, stands out. In carrying out this idea we have shown how we cannot build for life, unless we have the Lord Iesus Christ in our hearts. If we are building with Him as the center of our lives, we shall glorify Him in our classes and other activities. Returning from the '53 team were one lone starter, Bill Winters, and three subs. After painstaking experimentation, Coach Crawford found the best combination. I Q .
