Barnltz, USN Executive Officer The big punch of ATG-2, the 'main battery' of the USS PHILIPPINE SEA, was ably provided by the WARHORSES of VA-55. Composed of sixteen Douglas AD-6 'Skyraider', one hundred and ten enlisted men, and twenty-two officers, the WARHORSES flew both day and night to amass more flight hours in the first six months of the cruise than the squadron had during its previous eight month deployment.
