'They have family events, fundraisers, and Family Nights Out. They are here to help our families I hrough the everyday struggles of ship life. They encourage wives, husbands, significant others, ,. parents and other relatives to get involved and to help with the morale of our families and our sailors. ,Their main goal is to take care of one another... and to make the challenges of life at sea a little ieasier on the families... together. lQ Before and during deployment, the FSG had many different functions and activities. They had amlly nights at Chick-fil-a, a family bowling night, arts and crafts day for the sailors to receive cards -fand painting's thanking them for their service, and numerous FSG fundraisers to raise money to fund ,the Homecoming celebration.
