'gl e-EI'T',, ' zmir quickly became the hub for PHILIPPINE SEA sailors to take exciting tours throughout the Aegean coast. The first venture was to the ruins of Ephesus where we were able to see spectacular Ion- ian architecture. We walked down the Arcadian Way where Mark Antony and Cleopatra once rode, visited the Great Theater of Ephesus where St Paul preached against the goddess Artemis, and went through a house where the Virgin Mary spent her last days. Our next journey found us in Canakkale, where we visited the ruins of Ancient Troy and the famous Trojan Horse. Our last journey took us to Priene, Miletus and Didyma. In Miletus, five columns of the once great temple of Athena were reerected to give an indication of its original massive scale. The opportunity to trav- el throughout Turkey proved interesting and educa- tional for all. Learning the history of Ephesus. + Take a break. 1. t. I wonder if they'll take my library card here?
