MKIISS IIBUVILIEQS fM1lESSA'l5IE April 21, 1932. DEAR GIRLS! Four years ago there were many beckoning visions on your horizon. There were the grand andrawe-inspiring seniors into whose image you might grow 5 there were the front seats in the assembly room to which you might fall heir 5 and there were many other seemingly almost unattainable goals. Most of the dreams have become realities and yesterday's horizon is today's back- ground. Somewhere in the middl.e of your high school course you saw an infinitesimal spot on the horizon and that spot was called the new buildingf' Occasionally, you may have feared that it was a mirage that would disappear, but steadily, if slowly, it has taken definite fO1'111 and now is prominently in the foreground of your view. Until we move into the new building, it will hold that place. Then, gradually it will sink into the background and no longer be an object about which to speculate. You, as alumnae, also will become background for the pupils in the school just as the older graduates form a background for you. That is a privilege, a responsibility and a challenge, to which I am sure you will live up. 1 Sincerely yours, MARY ANNE BOYLE. f Page Eleven a' ,' I - -' 4 , 1 4 I' , . '. J' I
