Mrs. Dorothy Niles When this year first began, none of us were fully aware of how much work would be need- ed to make a succesful yearbook. We only now realize all the guidance and hard work Mrs. Niles has put into this yearbook. She has made numerous suggestions and volunteered many hours showing staff members what must be done. It is mainly through her efforts that this yearbook has been made possible. By dedicating this yearbook to Mrs. Niles, we would like to express our many thanks. Mr. Ioseph Silver Mr. Silver has been a faithful class advisor through four long, hard years. He has always been aware of the problems students face and has willingly devoted his time to help solve them. This year, especially, we have become aware of all the time and effort he has donated to us, It is largely because of him that we were able to go to Washington, DC. Wfe can never really repay him for all he has done for us, but we hope that in dedicating this yearbook to him we can partially express our appreciation. This is the first time that such an honor has been bestowed upon ,a student of Phelps High School, and we know that Ilselore was truly deserving of the privilege of studying abroad for a year in Italy, learning about the customs and language of the Italian people. At the same time, she has been teaching her Italian family and friends the American way. Her perseverance, hard work, and cheerful dis- position have made her a true A.F.S.'er in every way.
