'ihrr boys and girls not only had new classrooms, but also had two new subiects which were geography and history. Selling garden seeds was again the project of the fourth grade. The class participated in a Tlianlasgiying operetta, The Pilgrims' First Tlianlcsgiviiigf' on Novi-itiluei' Ql. lt showed the Pilgrims' preparation for the hrst Thanksgiving. The Htth graders did much art work this year under the instruction ot their teachers, Mrs, Mildred Rychener and Miss Alta Spiess. This class sold pictures of Christ this year, as did the fourth grade. For prizes, they received Testaments or Bibles. Roger Price was high salesman, and received three Bibles. The fifth graders also sold seeds. They helped the fourth and sixth grades give the operetta, The Pilgrims' First Thanksgiving. Miss Spiess's section, room llfl, got a new globe in November. It is an inflated type. The health nurse, Mrs. Emmaiean Yingling, came regularly to the school to check pupils' eyes, ears, and growth. All examinations were held in the new health room.
