Two feeds were given the team. A Christmas supper was held in December,at which time the Boosters decorated the home economics room with red and green crepe paper, fir branches, and colored candles. Soft music w a s played on a record player as the boys ate tasty food which h a d been prepared for them. A banquet was given the boys in' the audi- torium after the season was finished. Page 36 Four- girls were chosen as cheer- leaders this year, for the first time in the history of the school. This group was headed by Luana Leininger, The girls did an outstanding job of leading the cheering for the basketball boys, and they also succeeded in getting the school body to 'really yell' at pep meetings. At nearly every meeting the school song, 'Fight For Dear Old Pattis- v1l1e, was sung, They used many new yells and forma- tions which would have been impossible to perform without four leaders. 'How do ya like your cabbage? 'With an F' and Boom-a-chick-a-boom were three of the new yells used. The girls made for their cheering apparel white wool dresses, with full skirts. trimmed with the black letters P. H. S. on the left shoulder, Their tights were black. and they wore black and white saddle shoes. The 1948 Lariat
