X l LITERARY SOCIETIES The literary societies this year were made up of the students from the classes seven to twelve inclusive. The seventh, ninth, and e- leventh grades formed oneg the eighth, tenth, and twelfth grades formed the oth- er. The former organization elected Helen Rychener president and Marjorie Siegsl vice-president and the latter elected Lawrence Weber president, Florence Richer vice-president, and Trula Clair secretary-treasurer. The programs given by both societies were educational as well as intertain- ing. The program committees and the students deserve credit for the way they oo- operated and for the effort they put forth in preparing the programs which were given every other Friday. SAILING HOME MAKERS This year the home economics club had a larger membership than ever before. Early in the fall we met and organized. The officers were as follows: president, Dorothy Ruetzg vice-president, Georgia Huber, secretary-treasurer, Trula Clalrg chairman of the program committee, Wauneta Wyse. Our programs were very inter- esting and educational. They included a style show, a kitchen cabinet band, and personal grooming. At Christmas time we had a party, exchanged gifts, and served refreshments. Miss Gigax was our advisor and we feel she has worked very hard to make our club a success. 30
