When we started we had on our train twenty-nine passen- gers, with Blanchard Amstutz as engineer. On our next trip we were not so successful in our traveling as the first year. Our train had a wreck, losing some along the way. Blanchard was still our engineer. This year our train, all decked out in bright colors, started a very suc- cessful trip. Helen Rychener was chosen as the engineer, and urged us on. ls had Lloyd, Howard, Paul, and lalter as helpers on the varsity basketball teal. All the other members of the class were equally ambitious. le gave the play BACK A- GAIN HOME TOWN, and later the Junior-Senior banquet. le are looking forward to our next year with a great deal of enthusiasm. SOPHOUORI CLASS HISTORY Tootl Toot! le are leaving the station at Freshman for the town of Sophomore. when we started forty 'Freshies' boarded the new streamlined train, 'Education', to take us on our journey of learning. Virgil Sunday was elected engineer and Maurice Frey our assistant engineer. Arlene Neidhardt was chosen conductor to take care of the money and the accounts of our special meetings. le elected Mr. Gottschalk to aid us when we should become entangled in difficulties on our first journey. During our travels the train ahead of us initiated us, after which we felt more dignified. Frequently we were hit by storms but we could not expect perfect weather all the time. All of us recovered from the calamity, 'The Blizzard of final Exam1nations'. During this first year a few left our train to board the 'Train of Life'. After resting at the town of Vacation temporarily, thirty-six of us boarded the train, 'Education', at the town of Sophomore. Maurice was elected en- gineer, Robert Hull assistant engineer, and Betty Rupp conductor. Miss Giga: was chosen to help us through the arduous places. our trip from town Sophomore was more tempestuous than our trip the year before. It was to be expected that we meet storms and find obstaclesvlying across our path be- cause we should be progressive instead of retrogressive. As is the custom, we initiated the Freshmen this year. We have successfully passed 'The Tempest of First Se- mester Exams' and are preparing for the most diffi- cult tests, 'The Tempest of Final Exam1nat1ons'.
