SAILING I-IQIVIE MAKERS We, fhe Sailing I-Iome Malcers of I934-35, have fried in many ways fo make our club a success. In fhe beginning of The year we mef and organized, I-Ielen Rychener was elecfed presidenfp Arlene Neidhardf, vice-presidenfg Trula Clair, secrefary-freasurerp and I-Ielen Nafziger, chair- man of fhe program commiffee. We held our meefings once every fwo weeks, and we feel fhaf we have had very inferesfing, as well as educafional, programs. We gave fhe freshman of fhe club an inifiafion af Miss Giigax's house one evening and enjoyed ourselves very much. We also decided fo have home eco- nomics club pins. Anyone who had ever faken home economics in high school could be a member fhis year. In fhis way our club was much larger and, conse- guenfly, beffer in every way fhan if has been in previous years. LITERARY SQCIETIES Alfhough we have no names for our organizafions as in former years, we have nof changed fhe usual mefhod of dividing fhe sfudenfs info fwo groups. The sevenfh, ninfh and elevenfh grades form one sociefy: and fhe eighfh, fenfh, and fwelffh, fhe ofher. Af fhe firsf meefing The sociefies decided fhaf if we could nof improve Ihe former efforfs, fhe organizafions were hardly worfh fhe fime falcen for fhem. So fhis year we made our moffo Beffer Programs . Wifh a greaf deal of efforf and co-operafion on fhe parf of all, we feel fhaf rhis has been accomplished fo some exfenf. We have af Ieasf sef fhe goal a Iiffle higher for nexf year's sociefies. IAT ,,
