CLASS HISTORY OF '33 ln The Tall oT l929 we enTered PeTTisville l-ligh School as gallanl' Freshmen. The TaculTy looked us over and ThoughT us To be Tairly good workers, ThereTore inviTing us To Take up The sTudy oT books and school acTiviTies. Because oT our large number, ThirTy-nine, we needed a brilIian+ leader To lead us Through The year. We elecfed Olen BriTsch, who wiTh The assisTance oT our class sponsor, Mr. Rychener, genTly led us Through all diTFiculTies. The Tall oT I93O broughT ThirTy oT us back wiTh a more digniTied name - Sophomores. Because OT our greaTer menTal abiIi+y, we had our names on every lisT OT school acTiviTies. Probably parT oT This was due To our clever class president Ralph Gisel, and Miss STuder, our class advisor. Wifh BerTha Zimmerman as presidenT, and Miss Van MeTer as class sponsor we accomplished a greai' deal. The play MeeT Uncle Sally was a com- pleTe success. The Junior-Senior BanqueT was welcomed and considered one oT The biggesT evenTs oT The year especially by us Juniors. The year OT l932 was The lasT buT noT leasT. We reTurned wiTh greaTer courage, because we were Seniors. This year, AThelia Sherer was elecTed To Take up The responsibilifies oT presidenT. I-lowever, The load was made Iigh+er by Miss Van MeTer who was willing To help us when we were in need, We Took upon ourselves The responsibiIiTy oT ediTing The LariaT , on which much oT our Time was spenT. AT TirsT we were undecided as To wheTher we could make one, buT The Tull co-operaTion oT The sTudenT body and TaculTy enabled us To ediT a successful annual. Now we have come To The close oT These memorable days-graduaTion. AlThough we have been anx- iously waiTing Tor This period OT our lives we deeply regreT To leave P. I-I. S. DoubTless The Tacul+y have also been anxiously waiTing Tor This Time when we and, wiTh us some oT Their Troubles leave. NeverTheless, we have enjoyed The pasl' Tour years wiTh Them and hope ThaT we may look back wiTh greaT pleasure on our high school days, one OT The happiesT and mosT imporTanT Times oT our lives.
