THE PROM Starry, Starry Night The theme of the 1985 Junior-Senior Prom was Till the End of Time, taken from the theme song You're the Inspiration. The evening's activities began with a Eucharistic Celebration offered by Reverend Gary Ostrander. Dinner followed in the gymnasium, decorated in purple, rose-lavender and silver-metallic streamers. The dinner, catered by Petersburg Lockers, was served by Sophomores Troy Friese, Todd Jennings, Randy Johnson, Jennifer O'Cilka, Kim Petsche, Brenda Spiker, Jeff Staashelm, Linda Starman, and Doug Wiegand. Mrs. Charles Stuhr provided the dessert cake, which was decorated to match the Prom theme. The evening ended with dancing in a semi-detached ballroom enclosure, highlighted by a water fountain and an elevated dias. Music for the dance was provided by Sounds Unlimited. The Coronation Ceremony was attended by many relatives and guests from the community. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Staashelm, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thieman, Jr. were the chaperones. Above, Bruce Benda and Dean Pelster diligently attach the streamers in the correct pattern to form the false ceiling.
