HOMECOMING Moonglow Lights The Sky The climax of the Spirit Week activities was the Homecoming Dance held on Saturday night. The Pep Club, which sponsored the dance, decorated the gym in pink, burgundy and white streamers. The theme Another Illusion was taken from the song Hard Habit to Break by Chicago. Music was provided by Sounds of Your Kind of Music. The new royalty and their court, elected by the student body during Spirit Week, were honored during a special coronation ceremony. Last year's Queen Mary Jo Henn and Rolan Knust, substituting for King Mike Spieker, were on hand to crown Tom Temme and Jeanine Ketteler as the 1984 Homecoming King and Queen, respectively. FALL ONE—ACT PLAYS: Below left, awakened from their sleep by the violent summer storm, Gerald Snoopy, Jo and Claire decide to search for clues to the Wailing Ghost of Willowmere. Center middle, in a last-ditch effort to close the tea room, the ghost arrives ill person to scare the teen-aged guests. Center right, perfect lady Claire, on far right, introduces Tom-boy Jo, amateur detective Snoopy and bug-ologist Horace to each other. Bottom right, Jessie, the Willowmere cook, greets Lottie and Linda as they arrive at their aunt's tea room to work. 24 The Marriage ' a one-act play by Dorothy J. Proctor, concerned an argument between a husband and wife, the emotions they experienced, and learning to confront their differences. It was performed for the Conference and District Contests at Elgin, for the PHS student body and for the Senior Citizens in Petersburg. The Haunted Tea Room, by Anne Coulter Martens, is a three-act mystery-comedy written for and about teen-agers. Nine high school students met at the Willowmere Tea Room on a stormy summer evening. High jinks and mayhem ensued as they searched for and discovered the identity of the mysterious ghost who was disrupting business at the tea room.
