JUNIOR HIGH: The Comets Our Junior High classes were small again this year. We participated in many of the High School events, such as Spirit Week and pep rallies, and we made up the entire percussion section in the school band. In addition, Tami played the clarinet and earned an Excellent rating at the Elgin Elementary Junior High Solo Contest. We all participated at the Pope John Field Day in March, in Oral Interpretation of Prose and Poetry and with a Trivia Bowl Team. Tami and Mike received Excellent ratings; Christy received a Good. We played some co-ed basketball games and participated in the Wheeler Central and Chambers Track Meets. Troy placed first in the 800 meter run, Tami was second in the 75 meter hurdles, Christy, third in the long jump, and the boy's 400 meter relay team placed third at Wheeler Central. Most of us served as J.V. student managers for our PHS teams. Top, Scott goes up for the jump ball against his St. Boniface opponent, while Tami, Troy and Jason keep their eyes on the ball, in one of their few co-ed basket- ball games.
