Music Groups The vocal music department consisted of 4 groups this year; Girls’ Double Sextet, Swing Choir, and Girls' Swing Choir. The Girls' Glee was the largest of the 4 groups 32 members strong, ranging from eighth to twelfth grade. They accomplished a lot though we were lim- ited to 2 rehearsals per month. Double Sextet was newly formed this year. It con- sisted of 3 boys and 9 girls. They sang mostly 3 part music. The Girls’ Swing Choir was also new to P.H.S. Membership in this group was on a volunteer basis. There were 14 students, all sophomores and jun- iors. They divised their own routines and had a lot of fun while they were at it. Swing Choir also had a membership of 14 stu- dents — 7 girls and 7 boys. The students tried out in the spring and were chosen on the basis of their singing and dancing abilities. 29 Sextet: L-R: Karla VonBonn, Sandy Schafer, Diane Luettel, Lucy Knust, Theresa Wilton, Colleen Spieker, Mary Pelster, Teresa Jen- nings, Dolly Arends, Ed Veik, Tom Ruther.
