The varsity harriers, who won the CIC trophy, are,
clockwise, from left: M. Yater, S, Beverly, I. Stout, W.
Kidd, G. Borden, Coach Robert Biddle, M. Hopper, D.
Hentgen, T. Comerford, C. Whybrew, L. Burdine.
Mike Yater. in cx re-play of a familiar scene,
comes in first at the finish line, with a few com-
petitors barely in sight. Mike is a senior.
For the first time in the history of PHS, the
Tiger cross country team brought home the
CIC trophy. To win the championship, the
harriers fought off good competition. The
record stands at six wins and one loss, the
latter being to Elwood by one point. The six
wins were over Plymouth, Rochester, Oak
Hill, Monticello, Warsaw, and Wabash.
Since most of the boys will be coming back
next year, Coach Robert Biddle will have a
good nucleus to build on.
