Hawkins Reigned as Queen Deanna Hawkins reigned as Queen at Homecoming 1983. The queen and her court were pre- sented to the student body by members of the football team, at the afternoon Homecoming cer- emony which followed a week of Homecoming activities. Wanda Braiser, Kim Price, and Toni Trotter were elected maids from the senior class. Kathy Cripps and Kim Jackson served as the Junior maids. The soph- omores selected Karen Crawford and Laura Daniels to represent them. Freshmen maids Nancy Cripps and Jennifer Magie repre- sented their class. Eighth grade maid was Sandra Anderson and seventh grade maid was Tracy Short. The Mustangs beat Mayflower 14-6 in the Homecoming game. The Homecoming dance was well attended by P.H.S. students past and present. Right: Deanna Hawkins watched the pep rally during the morning ceremonies. Between Between the bell at Perryville High could be defined with a whole mass of different meanings. It was a time to gossip, get a drink, go to the locker, and meet with loved ones. It was also a time to do some last minute cramming for a next period test, feed your face and the Bell hope to make it to lunch, and just a free time to get away from teachers. If between the bell had to be shortly defined, it could be pretty well summed up as just a free time to do whatever could have been accomplished in five minutes. Below Left: A typical hall scene at break. Below: Chris Harmon did some last minute studying in the library. Left: Feeding their faces were Chance Grace, Nancy Cripps, and Jamie Brooks. Above: Lynn Syler, Shelley Barton, and Stephanie Bull took time to gossip. 9
