Graduates At Last Twins Are Top Graduates Some 62 students in the Class of '82 participated in graduation exercises May 7. Twin sisters Beverly and Kimberly Cleaver shared the class's top position of valedictor- ian. Other honor graduates were Renee Hawkins, Cindy Lamb, Susan Lamb, and Tammy War- ren. Several graduates received ACT tuition scholarships from the LEFT: Twins Bev and Kim Cleaver were co-valedictorians. BELOW: Singing the Alma Mater were Angela Barnes. Kenny Biggs. Delta Bird, and Jeff Bowdle. various colleges they plan to attend: Roger Johnson, Cindy Lamb, Keith Tarvin, Shannon Womack, and Kimberly Cleaver. Tammy Warren received a tuition scholarship for being in the top 10% of her class. Special music was provided by a group of senior girls. Luke Camp sang and accompanied himself to a song he wrote about his class. RIGHT: Excited over her first moments as a graduate. Cindy Lee warmly hugs Keith Tarvin. 28

Lunchtime Offers Variety BELOW: Most teachers prefer to eat in the teacher's lounge. Mrs. Debbie Moreland and Mrs. Melinda Adams enjoy their lunches reheated in the new microwave oven. RIGHT: Mr. Raymond Massey grades one of the home ec. cooking assignments. Lunch break at PHS consists of two 20-minute periods: the first for senior high and the second for junior high. This has resulted in less crowding and shortened lines in the lunchroom and in fewer students outside. Students have several spots on campus that are their favorites. Senior high students seem to prefer the area behind and to the ends of the buildings as well as the lunchroom itself. Junior high students like the area in front of the school and the lunchroom. While the senior high students prefer to sit and discuss important issues and events, students in the lower grades like to run and play.
