Captain Harper greets Governor Faubus. Through the combined efforts of Arkansas National Guard Unit, Company D, 217th Engineer Battalion and the Perryville School Board, this modern structure was made possible. It was dedicated May 1962 with Governor Orval B. Faubus making the dedicatory address. Although to the general public it may be referred to as ’’the armory” to the students and personnel of PHS it is our Gym.”
