THE MUSTANG Published by the Annual Staff Perryville High School, Pertyville, Arkansas T 9 Editor-in-Chief.......................... JUDY REEDER Assistant Editor........................JEANETTE PAUL Business Manager - - BARBARA PATTERSON Assistant Business Manager-------------------SUE JONES Ad Salesmen..............BILLY YOUNG ,OLUE FLEWELLEN Typists.............. CARL LEE SIMPSON, ZADA CARTER Advisors - - - - MRS. JORD SADLER, MRS. ERVIN YOUNG 5 8 DEDICATION To the school board whose members give freely of their time and serve without compensation to form the policies of the school and assist in the administration of school affairs, we proudly dedicate this book. Administration SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE In carrying forward my work as Superintendent of schools, I may be permitted a few words of com- mendation and appreciation to all who have responded promptly and heartily to requests for their aid and cooperation in accomplishing the ideals set at the beginning of this year. I speak not only for myself but for the whole staff when I say that no group has had more consistent and loyal support than we have had from the students, their parents, and other members of our commu- nity. They have shared our every purpose, and they have never count- ed the cost of any . plan or request that would not make our school one that we can really be proud of. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE In our world today our machines are more complex; our government is more demanding; all of our sources of goods and services are more productive. Our need for highly trained personnel is urgent. This is progress. This progress has made more of the material things available to more people than our forefathers could have dreamed about. The public schools of America are dedicated to providing proper foundation for our technicians to build upon. Students who are studious and self-disciplined are our best citi- zens today. They are making prep- aration for the demands of tomor- row. Faculty NOEL ADAMS Jr. High MRS. T. L. BUCY 5th Grade MRS. CARLTON CHAMBERS Jr. High MRS. LEE DENTON Jr. High MRS. B. L. The Perryville Grade School Parent Teachers' Association was organized in August, 1952. Since then the organization has been instrumental in the accomplishment of several beneficial services and im- provements at the school. Among these are conducting preschool clinics, hearing and vision tests, in- stallation of water fountains in the hall, buying magazines to help keep the rating of the school, equipping of a hospital room, installation of adequate lighting, and equipping lunch room. The association's project for this year is construction of a side walk connecting the school's east and south doors. Also this year the organization is sponsoring a girl scouts' troop.
