Q Q BLA 5 '57 fi? 5 I5 .,x T omg X a...lNL egg' Xxxx N An Appreciation of the New High School ln thinking of our new school from a Senior's viewpoint we, perhaps more than any other class, appreciate the many advantages and opportunities which it offers us. Our beautiful auditorium, which in a sense reminds us of a college chapel is in itself an inspiration for our convocation periods. Then too, along the line of dramatics we have opportunities never before offered to us, with our spacious stage and beautiful curtains, scenery, and lighting effects. The attend ance at various affairs held in this auditorium has indeed been good. The gymnasium is another very fine feature of our new system. As every one will agree, from the very fine attendance at the Basketball games, the public derives almost as much benefit and pleasure from the gymnasium as do the pupils themselves. Thus we feel that there is a closer feeling of relationship and interest between the community and the student body. Also the gymnasium has afforded an opportunity this year, and will even more so in years to come, for the students to become stronger and more physically fit individuals. Turning a moment from the social and athletic features of our school, our attention is centered upon advantages offered to us for developing the mental side of our nature. The class rooms are large and very well ventilated. Together with these qualities, very beautiful pictures, significant of the subjects taught in each room, adorn the walls, and are in themselves an inspiration to one to study and better one's self mentally in every possible way. We Seniors consider ourselves very fortunate in being able to spend our last and best year in this new institution and feel that we are much better prepared to meet life's problems as an alumni of P. H, S. As a parting word we wish to advise the under classmen to make the best of their remaining years in Perrysburg High School and grasp all the oppor tunities that are offered. Eight
