Left to rights back row, Mrs. Lofgren, Sam Fuller, Dan Vam0tten, Herbert Egassen, George Lepping second row, Joe Gingerich, Clyde Bivens, Hugh Hanna, Gordon Domes, Gary D iscoll, Richard Lenpin, Junior Quinton, front row, Mary Lou Glass, Sandra Krieger, Elvera Wall, Barbara Macken, Eleanor Bivens, June Quinton, Patsy Dent, Joanne Wiensz, Edith Klassen. agzd- and Room members registered this year for the first time at Psrrydale were Mary Lou Glass and June Quinton in the sixth grade and Junior Quinton, Gordon Domes, and John Morey in the fifth grade. This brought our total m mbership to twenty-seven. After Christmas Patricia and Nathan Feasel moved to Coos Bay and John Morey returned to New England Achievement tests were given the first week of school. On our first field trip of the year we visited the Salt Spring onthe old Keyt donation land claim. M s. Keyt accompanied us and told man interesting facts about the vicinity. we had Halloween, Christmas and Valentine parties in our rooms. we presented the play, nThe Second Christmasn for our part in the annual Christmas program. The h-H Health club was organized. Joe Gingerich was elected presi- dent, Dan Van Otten-vice-president, Gordon Domes-secretary and George Leppin-reporter. In addition to our regular health study,posters were made for the fair. In the spring we had a second field trip. M3 aigended the five conmy Science Fair at Corvallis. There we saw many interesting science pro- jects made by children of other schools. we hope to exhibit some of ou own next year. We took part in the spring track meet and field day.

While we were having vacation last summer, there was much activity in the school house. Our room was completely painted a soft greerxwith dark green accents, a new sink was installed, we have a new library table, a new teacher's desk, and new tables and chairs for each of us. They have plastic tops,so that we can work with paint, clay, etc with- out harming them. Bobbie Quinton, from New Mexico, was our only new pupil this year. Georgann Todd moved to Portland, and Jim Enyart came back from the Orchards district. The Lucky Health club was the name chosen for our h-H club. Our president was Bobby Quinton, vice-president was Sandra Johnson, sec- retary was Jean Ediger, song leader was Douglas Rosenbalm,and reporter was Lena Gingerich. we have enjoyed several radio programs each week. They are about health, science, music, art, literature, and social studies. We have learned much, too, with out movies about other people and the way they live 0 The first and second grades joined us in a Christmas play called UHeigh-Ho, It's Christmas.n We decorated our Christmas tree with Hdxgs we made in art classes, and had a wonderful Christmas party. The fourth grade girls were hostesses for the Halloween Party, and the boys were hosts for the Valentine party. The third grade helped with the Easter party. The games and refreshments were greatly enjoyed by everyone.
