PRESIDENT STUDENT couucn, VICEJRESIDENT SECRETARY ROY Chaim Ramnd DeJ0 S Rudy Gingerich Delores Stapleton When school opened in the fall the freshmen class was missing Dick Jones, who moved to Dallas, and Joe Brown, who left for California. The only new student was Marilyn Lute, who came here from Dallas. The freshmen were initiated by the sophomores October 8 after wearing green gloves for a week. On October 23 the freshman, assisted by Don Hiller, advisor, gave a return party for the student body. Rudy Gingerich and Roy Chapin were the only freshmen out for football Delores Stapleton was chosen as the freshmen princess for the Harvest Carnival. The freshmen were in charge of the ring toss, roulette wheeh and the nail pound. Darlene Johnson was on the volleyball UAW team. Shirley Neufeld, Ruby Rempel, and Delores Stapleton were on the WB' team. Freshman boys out for basketball were Rudy Gingerich and Roy Chapin. On December 16 Raymond DeJong entertained the freshmen class at his home. Ruby'Rem el entertained the freshmen class February 3 at her home. Roy Chapin represented the Perrydale FFA chapter at the Lower Will- amette district public speaking contest at McMinnville. Darlene Johnson Neufeld Ma ils,
