PRESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT SECRETARY-TREASURER STUDENT COUNClL Larry MABSGY Bob Stewart Joetta Wilson Bob Rosenbalm 000016 Helen Nazarenus was chosen Queen of the annual Harvest Carnival in November. It was the second year the sophomores have had a Queen. Dart throw, penny pitch, ping pong toss, side show, fishpond and princess booth were the carnival concessions decorated and managed by the sophomores. Helen Naz-arenus, Margaret Phillips, and Joetta Wilson played on the volleyball A team. Louise Adams, Jean Driscoll, Louise Neufeld and Roselle Glass were B team members. At the beginning of school there were 18 students in the sophomore class, seven girls and eleven boys with John Tiffany joining in mid- semester. This made a total of nineteen for the largest class in PHS. The first duty was to get the freshmen initiated. This was held Oct. 8 with the traditional ceremony that evening. The student body was :Ln- vited as was the faculty. The advisor, Mrs. Forbes, treated with a supper consisting of spa- ghetti and the trimmings preceding a. play given at O C E. The supper and play were enjoyed by the entire class. The sophomore class chose It's Cold In Them Thar Hills 35 their 1- act play for the annual play contest. It was a hillbilly comedy. Larry Massey, Lester Massey, and Bob Stewart had the honor of playing on the A team in basketball. Bob Rosenbalm and John Dauenhauer uae on the B team. Bob Rosenbalm, Larry Massey, and Bob Stewart lettered in football. 31904710
