CLASS CF FEBRUARY 1954 HISTORY Unlike most classes, we got our start in Perry in the ninth grade. In February, 1950, thirtyfeight of us came from McNaugher to form the only 9B class in Perry. 9th Grade We started off our career in Perry under the guidance of Mr. Berry in Room 203. As usual, our first few days were spent tracking down elusive rooms and getting acquainted with the rules and regulations. By the time summer vacation rolled around, we were really in the swing of things. The following September Mr. Harris took over the management of 203. A member of our class became the Junior School president. Mziny of us joined Milroy, and we all got our 'first taste of rooting for our own foothall team. Page Eighteen 10th Grade This year we moved up to Room 215 where Miss Anderson took over our training. Our class was growing smaller in spite ofa few new additions. We thought we would never get all that home' work done, hut miracles do happen. We had our first experience with Mr. Irons' famed tests, hut somehow we ploddcd through them. A few of our talented girls were finally hreaking into the A Cappella Choir. Some of our boys went out for football, and made it! We were memhers of the Senior School now and really growing up! llth Grade It was during this, our junior year, that wc realized how time was flying. Class rings were ordered and finally arrived. The first members from our class were admitted into the National Honor Society. And to our surprise, we found that American Literature can be both interesting and full of fun. The announcement of Miss Anderson's resigf nation came as a surprise and left us wondering whether we would get a report teacher half so wonderful and understanding as she was. Never' thcless, we looked forward to our next and final year at Perry with great anticipation. 12th Grade At last we were seniors. All twenty-seven of us took over the Lyon's Den in Room 311. We shared our senior play, The Form Divine, with the class of june, 1973. Our prom, which was held at thc Schenley Hotel on June 1'.Z. 1973, was also shared with them. The semester changed. We elected our class officers. The Lyon's Den changed to Duncan's Dungeon. Seven of us were on the Cafeteria Com' mittee. The excitement of exchanging senior pie' tures came and went. The Christmas trees were put up and taken down. just nineteen school days were left. All too soon baccalaureate and the last day were upon us. With harely enough time to get a deep breath, it was commencement night. january 28. With mixed emotions we bade a last fond farewell to Perry . . . We'll love forever the white and hluef'
