When Perry High School opened its doors in 1956 there was a new student body and a new faculty. During the past ten years many have left and not returned. Some have come back and are now teaching with their former instructors. Still l l others have remained through the years, contributing their services to an ever growing and expanding school system. These teachers are celebrating their tenth anniversary at Perry Veronica Nist, Lou Clauss, and Kathryn Bethune joined the Several of our graduates went on to college then returned to teach special services staff in 1956. in the Perry School district.

Walls As Perry grew, new strides were made toward developing a sound curriculum that would meet the needs of all youth. Speech classes were in- stituted to allow students to develop good speak- ing habits. It was also recognized that the media of audio-visual materials would broaden educa- tional opportunities. Bruce Robinson selects audio-visual materials. Expression is a special concern of the debate class Six Learning facilities are provided for all youth of the com- munity.
