Tria Iuncta In Uno CCont.j At the lower right portion of the seal are found a winged foot and an olive branch . . . The symbol for EXTRA-CURRICULAR activities. The winged foot is a symbol of all athletics, and the olive branch, a traditional symbol of peace and harmony, is our symbol for all clubs and organizations at Perry High. From these two activities the student learns the meaning of cooperation, harmony, teamwork, and service. This section of the seal envelopes all activities that clo not Juniors Steve Sutton and Ralph Morris perform one of the many services of Key Club members as they raise the flag on the school grounds. Key Club is a subdivision of the Perry Kiwanis organiza tion. occur in the formal classroom. Each of these three parts symbolizes an important facet of school life. At the top of the seal are located a scroll and mortar board, Because of their position at the topj, the scroll and mortar board symbolize the most impor- tant facet of school lifeaACADEMICS. Academics include all of the courses that a school offers which makes a person better intellectually, morally, physically, and culturally. This not only epitomizes the role of an academic education for a student, but the role of a good academic education in our community, state, na- tion, and world.

A school and its students depend upon the community's citizens for their continued support and existence. In each part of the seal is a star. These stars rep- resent the highlights that occur in each ot the three portions of the emblem and each part of school life. In the lower part of the coat of arms are two panthers, the date 1955 and the Latin saying KITIILI Iuncta In Uno. The panthers, naturally, are the school's mascots. The date 1955 shows when the con- struction of the school began.
