The class of 72 has gotten busy and started planning this big event early. They have held many activities to help raise money. With both ecology and the prom in mind the Juniors have been collecting aluminum cans, glass bottles, and newspapers for redemp- tion. They have also held dances and bake sales. This year ' s Juniors have been very energetic. We hope they become even more active and involved as Seniors and we know they will have a lasting impression on Perris High. This year ' s Sophomore class has set a high school spirit As they came out of the Jr. High to the High School It was going to he a year of changes and adjustments, some easy, and others not so easy. They have proved their adaptive ability to the community, in their participation in society; to the school In their active performance in school activities. As the Sopho- mores enter their next year at Perns High, we sincerely hope they will continue to put to use their original ideas to make Perris High a better school for themselves, and their classmates ■ i Ellen Allen Walt A ford Denise Altemus £ ' % 4 Tl v- V , Charles Altvater Arlieta Arnold David Ashley ' li¥ Phil Barta rj - 1: Nelda Barrow KaY Black Katie Barth Omaro Becerra Mike Black Chuck Avila Chuck Banks Pam Bond Mary Bouris 63 ? HOfAE 1970 ' C 74 Homecoming week was the finishing of class floats and the Sweepstakes prize awarded to the best float This is the time for last minute preparations and the long wait for the coveted crown. As the princesses practiced, the Panthers got ready for the big game. In the meantime, the rest of the student body participated in such activities as a powderpuff football game, tug-o-war, an ice sitting contest, and a water balloon relay. This wonderful and always remembered week ended with Berniece Washington as 1970-1971 Homecoming Queen and a 38-21 victory by the Perris Panthers over the Beaumont Cougers. But I would especially like to thank the staff for their help, Mr. John Thornton, the advisor, and a very extra big thanks to Mr. Paul E. Lambert, Photographer. As the class of ' 71 leaves, we hope its future will be as bright as the years they have spent here at Perris High. We hope that as they look into this book from year to year that it will bring back some very fond memories.
