In November, under the co-spon- sorship of the Beta Tau Delta and Ida K's Sportswear shop, a new and completely different idea caught the fancy of the entire student body: The Play- date of the Month Award. This honor was bestowed each month to a girl selected by a majority vote. Each lucky lady was given a complete outfit, compliments of Ida K's, a night on the town, all expenses paid by the Betas, and a large advertisement in the Graphic. Social Activities It was '4The Little Things, too, in the All-School social events which Were the measure of suc- cess. Careful planning and atten- tion to details paid off in lively events which received the maxi- mum in student support. The members of the Student Board vvho worked in planning the socials should feel proud of their accomplishments. -in An innovation at the Annual All-School Picnic. A rubber ball - king size - to play with. Ol' Marryin' Sam Ashby crowns the Little Abner and Daisy Mae of the Sadie Hawkins Day social. Abner and Da1sy's real names are Marty Craven and Annette Brownsey.

Despite occasional losses and setbacks on the athletic fields, it is the job of this branch of Student Board, under the direction of Marty Craven and Bud Lovelady, to secure at all times the support and the enthusiasm of the student body. It is a task to be respected- and applauded.
