I'm the star of this show and you won't even give me o name, how ore they going to know me if I don't even have a name? director: do you want me to title you like a book? so you con sit and collect your dust-dreams? player: all I am is a vopor. I'm just a log with ears and eyes, why don't you let me be a person? let me be on athlete or the student body president, somebody important, let's rewrite this thing, now, let s see. we .. . director: . . . won t do it. don’t worry, you’ll get your chance to talk, all through this script, but I don't want you to be a person, don't think of yourself like that, one person doesn't carry the dialogue on stage, it takes a big cast to tell this droma. takes everyone here, then it isn't complete, no, I don't want you to be some one. I want you to be no one. everyone, it isn't a simple thing, I know, you've got a big job. besides, they all knov this ploy, they know it line by line because they live it minute by minute, and when you speak, I don’t want to hear you at all.
