THE PLAYS THE THING' As one cousin to another, we always say! Howdy! The play's the thing! ' And what o thing! The magic world of the theatre is presented and shown to Central students Dig these crazy costumes! by two clubs and the annual stunt shows. For freshmen and sophomores with ability and willingness, there is the Cue Club. Of course, this doesn't mean that all the members of Cue Club are bursting with talent and stagestruclc ideas, but they all do their best to present plays for entertain.- ment and the enioyment of many underclassmen. Then, in the Junior year, comes higher dramatics in the form oflusendra, the dramatic club for Seniors and Juniors. Along with membership in this club comes lots of fun, and excitement in theform of presenting plays forthe whole student body. Grease paint and costumes are authentic, and so are the butterflies in the hearts ofthe performers. Oh, l almost forgot-this list of organizations stems from the dramatics department, and the students even get to direct the plays, make-up the players, manage the props, and deservingly take the applause. I cant think of a better way to teach the pupils about the realities of acting life. What do Broadway shows have on Central? Nothing that we can figure out! Suzy Central Orville's Big Date was a big success. A I im ' vilfxxkviuo-,,. l r f , ji Z T T ii - Whats in the package, girls? Page 20
