Unlike all the ads that start Port of Call, Rota, Spain, etc. . . this Spanish port is not all that special what with curfew and a limited on-base liberty, but most significantly, Rota means a change from Second .Fleet to Sixth Fleet and .with that, official entry into the Med. 1 l N , in V 1 ,f 1 Q . 'EK' PENSACOLA entered the Med with her four squadron- mates and rounded the corner for her exercise anchorage at the site of The Planet of the Apes Carboneras, Spain. There, several landings were conducted including one in a simulated chemical warfare environment. Following this training anchorage which for many proved to be a time frame of little sleep, PENSA- COLA switched to a Spanish timetable of reveille at 0800,
