But when Joe Busato scored our first TD, everyone knew this was the year! We beat Oakmont l6f0 and toppled Brentwood 20-8. There everything ended ffor a whilej. We lost to West Mifliin South 30-6 and Munhall 22-6. Things began to get rough down over the hill. The greatest threat became not the opposing team but the fungus. Rumors had it that birds flew around the area instead of over it. But what ever was there helped turn the tide. We defeated Yough 14-6 and walked over Swissvale 32-6. At pep rallies the walls shook while the Hoor quaked. Unfortunately those games were to be our last taste of victory. We dropped the next three games to Jeannette 15-0, Duquesne 20-0, and Southmoreland 14-0. At the end of the season we found ourselves with a 4 and 5 record, the best in four years.
