PENN PEOPLE How can you put into words the 180 days spent putting together this year- book? How can you put it into DECENT words? Few of us will forget the last minute put-togethers, res- cuing the goldhsh fand Chrisj out of the hole',, the screams of despair, Mrs. Bossart's frequent boosters, and our chiefs infrequent smiles. But thatis us, and this is our school and our memorial to the year 1970-71. We've remembered it all for you and put much of ourselves into it. Hopefully, we'll cement in your minds a happy memory of a ba- sically happy term. Most of itls here, a labor of love from usiPENN POINT STAFF '71-to you! TOP S Costellic, C. Barnes, M. Picking, R. We had elected new officers and representatives and there were loads of problems, new and old. Many were minor, but we had one super-big hang-up . . . our is archaic dress code. We knew it had to be changed-idealy abol- ished-or, at least, greatly revised. We talked . . . and talked . . . and talked. Finally we agreed, along with Traiford's student council, on the abolition fwith a few necessary guidelinesj. We sub- mitted it to the School Board and . . . hoped. The dress code was abolished, by the UNANIMOUS vote of the School Board. Chalk one up for the oldies ibut goodiesj. Our Student Council's got a new image. We produce , not promise . And you know what? We,re not TOO proudln Mr. Coleman, Mr. Shale, Mrs.
