We were ahead all the way until the last inning when their first baseman hit a double with one man on and won the game. They were victori- ous by a close score of 7 to 8. This took place on Thursday September IS. Our next game was against Lake on Wednes- day Sept. 21, there. Lake scored three runs while we scored none. We got several men, on base but we just couldn't get them home to bring our team to victory. Our last game was played at Walbridge on Sept. 27. At the start of the game we couldn't hit at all, in fact we couldn't hit throughout the first six innings. The game was called off because of rain at the end of the sixth inning, as we came up on the wrong side of the victory with Walbridge leading 9 to l. At the drawing of the Wood County Baseball tournament we drew Liberty. So on October lst we journeyed to Tontogony to play our first and last tournament game against Liberty. Luck was with them as the final score was 6 to 3.
